Most people Crammed in an Old Style Volswagen Beetle

It is a tale for the love and adulation for cars. And yes if the love bug takes you on then we must say you are sure to do something really out of the world. 17 persons crammed into a Volswagen Beetle  to set a new record  as a compensation for their craze for cars.
We are sure none of them might have ever experienced any discomfort sitting in. The car which was taken on loan from Classic Camber in Pinellas Park could comfortably fit four or five but accommodating a good 17 was like doing something close to impossible.
Perhaps their passion had gone up to such a level that the concept of space and comfort might have taken a back seat.
Jaffares Heddman coordinator of Pasco Bug Jam said that they had set the record even while entertaining the Volswagen lovers.
The Pasco Bug jam hosted by the non-profit Pasco County Fair Association Inc., is the largest Volkswagen show in the Southeast and the second largest in the country, Hedman said.
Participants come from throughout the country, and even foreign countries, to enter the show that last year had more than 500 VWs entered.
The Bug Jam includes hundreds of Volswagen  parts , vendors, children’s games which are staged with an objective of entertainment. The proceeds from the Bug jam benefits various hospitals and nonprofit organization working for the upliftment of mankind.
So this is  like making the passionate lovers of Volswagen happy and at the same time doing something noble in the process. It is bringing a smile back into the face of the community.
The Bug Jam has donated nearly  $ 1,50,000  to All Children’s  Hospital   from the time of its inception 21 years ago. The Volswagen Beetle seen very rarely on roads has always been the much loved car and is fancied by many car lovers all over the world.
Almost everyone tried to squeeze inside the 1971 Volswagen Beetle trying to satisfy their insatiable appetite for the car  craze.
The most number of people crammed in the 1971 Volswagen Beetle counted to 17 and was set by Pasco Bug jam at Dade City, United States of America on November 12, 2009.

Most people Hula Hopping

Hula Hooping is one of the exciting form of exercise.  It is good fitness programme which helps you to keep your body totally flexible. 363 students of Beaminster  Secondary School and from Beaminster St Mary keep their hula hoops totally hooked onto themselves for two minutes. It was like as though the hula hoops were stuck to them. The pupils performed the task with good tactc and panache for the skill.
The students smnashed the previous record for Most people Hula Hooping htat stood at just 342 in number.
Participants were split into their classes and moderated by their teachers as they attempted to keep their hula hoop spinning for two minutes whilst continuously dancing.
The organizer Gilly poulten said that it was really worth seeing the students perform. It was lovely to see the whole school coming out there to take part in the event.
It is certainly a unique task to set a world record and it gets even more special when the entire school gathers together to display their feat for setting a record.
The point was that alongside Hula Hooping they simultaneously danced for two minutes and put up a great show.
The hula hoops are twirled around the waist, limbs or neck. They are also used in circuses to perform stunts. Hoops of various sizes are hooped simultaneously at a faster pace  to amuse the audience.
The most number of persons Hula Hooping counted to 363 pupils set by Beaminster School at Beaminster, United Kingdom on May 22, 2010.

Largest Piggyback Race

How about the idea to carry someone on your back and then run a race? While some of you may take it as a challenge others may feel that could get the going hard. This could well test your perseverance and athletic skills to run and get there. It a an upfront task considering that  you need to balance yourself too at the same time bear the person’s weight whom you are carrying on your back. Here we have a lot of enthusiastic participants who took it upon themselves to hold  their kids and pals on their back and take the 100 meter ride.
And the organizers went on to create just another history . True to their names History Maker Foundation  got 123 pairs (Piggy backing pairs)  ie a total of 326 persons to run the 100 meter  course in the Lower  Castle Park.
While running if anyone falls or loses balance in the process then they are termed disqualified.  The previous record for the Largest piggyback race counted to 296 participants  and was achieved by Diesel  at Allen gardens in United Kingdom.
330 persons started to run but however two of them fell down to only move out of the event. Anna Pancaldi from History Maker Foundation said that  they were absolutely thrilled after setting the new benchmark.
The inspiration for the record attempt came from a family photo of Joey Pancaldi giving his sister Charity a piggyback.  When Pancaldo died in a mountaineering accident the family  set up the History maker foundation to fund trips  for the disabled and disadvantaged children to the Compass Christian Centre in Perthshire.
It is a real fun to see the runners run as fast as they can and watch the people sitting on the backs beam with excitement.
The proceeds collected would benefit the disabled children. And it was really heartwarming to see so many people coming together to perform the race to raise money for a philantrophic purpose.
The largest piggyback race counted to 123 piggyback pairs (326 persons) set by History Maker Foundation at Colchester, United Kingdom on October 8, 2011.

Most People Spinning Dreidels

A Dreidel is a four sided spinning toy. It is usually found in many European Cultures. And people love to spin the dreidel. Even for the onlookers it is indeed exciting to see them spin .  Dreidels are widely used as gambling toys.  Each side of the dreidel bears a Hebrew alphabet. These letters form the rules of the mnemonic  of a gambling game. It is traditionally played in the Jewish holiday of Hannukah.
This fun of spinning a Dreidel did not leave the Yeshiva University campus. The students, Parents , Faculty and neighbours were smitten by this dreidel spinning bug. They all got together to boasts their spinning skills . All of the participants sat in groups waiting for their chance to spin the dreidel and also for the pride  of making a world record.
The event was tilted Dreidel Palooza  which was actually steered as a fund raising event. The fund raising was attempted for a noble purpose. It was to raise funds for aiding scholarship programmes for undergraduates so that students on merit  could afford to upgrade themselves academically . The "Dreidelpalooza" event is also a scholarship fundraising event. It happened at the school's athletic center at 184th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
Some balanced the four-sided spinning top on the palm of their hand. Others flicked it into the air making it spin as it hit the floor. Participants from the Major League of Dreidel also took part in the event helping to teach children how to play various games in the "spinagogue" game board, a star-shaped board that encases the dreidel while it spins. The whole purpose was to get the best possible spinning time in three various rounds.
The event was organized by the voluntary organization Students helping Students a campus organization that helps  raise financial resources for  undergraduate aid.
Fiona Guedalia the co president of the organization said that they hoped as many students come out  as a winner  and especially those  who could benefit from the scholarship money  that was  raised through the event. All the participants were glad to be a part of the record.
The most people spinning a Dreidel counted to  618 participants and was set by Yeshiva University Students at new York, United States of America on December 4, 2010.

Most Multiple Birth Children in a Single Class

Their entire class is almost hugely populated with twins and triplets. So the class is more of a sibling filled class than to call it as a group of students. The Pearce High School students junior class has about 10 sets of twins and one set of triplet to set a new world record.  In all the class has 23 juniors  to me it tagged as the sibling class.
Senior assistant Principal Chakosha said that it is easier to refer them by their last names. It is hard remembering the identical ones . And yes the twins and the triplets are not new to this confusion. They have encountered all this before. People often misrepresent them or mistake their identity. It all goes in the way of  being alike.
But apart from the usual stuff the twins and triplest were pleasantly baffled when they realized that they had become world record holders due to this natural purpose. Being born together at birth could get them achieve world recognition. So they all relished the fact of being born with their brothers and sisters.
Pearce shared that mark with Raymond J. Grey Junior High School in Acton, Mass. Overall, the junior class at Pearce has 429 students.
Pearce set a new distinguished world record when they went ahead with their plan of being recognized for the most number of  multiple birth students in a class.
Yes they do have close numbers following them for competing in the same title. The Freshman and Sophomore classes have seven sets of twins and the senior class has six.
Dani Glazer twin sister of Jackie said that she has been going to school with atleast three sets of twins since her kindergarten days. She is happy to note that the group has only got bigger with the passage of time.
The most number of multiple births counted to 10 sets of  twins and one set of  triplet at the Junior class of Pearce High School at Richardson, Texas, United States of America on December 28, 2010.

Most people Apple Bobbing

If you love apples then you are sure to try this one.  The game of apple bobbing is very common and most of the time it is played with excitement and enthusiasm.  Apples are less dense than water and often float on the surface of water. The players then have to catch the apples by holding it onto their teeth. One is not supposed to use one’s hands or arms while doing the process. The arms and hands are tied when the players get down to action.
The thrill starts as the players bend down to hold the apple one by one in their teeth taking it from the water and putting them aside. Usually the player who takes out maximum apples from the water within the shortest possible time is declared as the winner.
This time apples were bobbed to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Macintosh apple. As much as 357 apple enthusiasts assembled together to set the new world record and give a fitting tribute to the legendary software giant.  Robb Nelson from Mississauga, not only retrieved all 10 apples from his bucket using only his mouth, but managed to do so at lightning speed in a mere 32 seconds.
Robb Nelson could hardly believe the moment that he had created for himself. He added that he wanted to get all the apples out from the water without actually inhaling any water.
Tracy Airhart a teacher said  that apples have been a part of their heritage. Her ancestor John McIntosh is credited  with discovering McIntosh apple. Our goal was to give back to the local community by hosting a Winter Apple Ball on Family Day.
Although the event was free, each guest was invited to bring one or several Ontario apples, which would in turn be donated to Second Harvest, a charitable organization that feeds those in need.
Tonia Crauser Director of  Communications Second harvest said that they were humbled by the generosity of the attendees.
Many families donated 1,150 apples and over all they have 2,300 apples to be distributed to the hungry persons all over the city.
Ontario apples rank the best in the world. That is because of Ontario’s moderate temperatures, sunny days, cool nights  provide just the ideal conditions for the growth of healthy and juicy apples.
The most number of people apple bobbing counted to 357 persons and was set by Ontario Apple Growers at Toronto, Canada on February 23, 2011.

Most people Arm Wrestling

It was a show of power and strength. And especially boys just love to arm wrestle with each other and the winners bully around in the class for fun. It also involves some teasing and kidding with friends. 214 Participants got ready to display their physical prowess at an event organized by Staples Service League. And yes by doing so history set in at Westport’s Staples High School.
The previous world record for the most people arm wrestling counted to 206 persons and was set by Bul Dog  Gin  during the Bull Dog Challenge in London. Members of the Staples community joined together for the record attempt to raise funds for the Staples Service League for Boys (SLOBs) and its Service Sunday, the group's annual day of service in the community.
Technique and arm strength are two major contributing factors that determine the success in this competition. The SLOBS' world record attempt aims to raise $10,000 to fund construction projects the service group plans on behalf of organizations and individuals.
Building homes for the welfare of the community and civilization would facilitate better fulfillment of wants.  The fundraising goal is $10,000—the amount needed to cover the cost of supplies. The entry fee for today's event was $5 per person.
Every first Sunday of May all the SLOB Families come together to perform construction, landscaping and painting projects for ABC House, department of Human Services and Homes with Hopes.
It was more to do with the mind apart from physical ability. Doing any good act has to first be a mental initiative only them the act could done well with satisfaction and also reap good results.
The venture would help thousands of families to fetch good homes for themselves and thus thereby reduce the number of homeless in the region.
The most number of people arm wrestling counted to 214 and was set by Staples High School at Westport, Connecticut, United States of America on March 11, 2011.

Most people Standing on One Leg

It is fun to stand on one leg. Many of us might have done this  as a part of our play activity.  We have enjoyed all that during our growing years. Most of the time we do take it as a challenge among friends as to who is able to stand with one leg for a longer time.  The activity is coupled with fun and excitement.  But here the bunch of students came together to stand on one leg for a good cause. It was a part of the Fund raiser to raise awareness  regarding issues like child abuse. 360 students of Darien High School participated in the School event which eventually led to scripting a World Record.
The previous record for most people standing on one leg counted to 339 and was set by Captain Morgan and the fans at the Rose Garden, in Portland, Oregon, United States of America.
Child abuse is a serious offence. Any act of omission or commission by a parent or care taker resulting in potential harm to the child is called as child abuse. History teacher and advisor for the Event  Lynn Brown said that it was the students who brainstormed upon the idea to generate funds for child abuse prevention. It was after all for a noble cause. Children are the gifts of God and it is up to the adults to treat them with love and affection. Patrick Durkin one of the class advisors zeroed on the idea while surfing the internet.
Durkin added that he was thinking of ways to break a record which was fairly easy . Once enough people gathered together to achieve the purpose they decided to do something worthwhile . Brown laid the rules to set the record and made everybody clear about the ground rules.
If anybody tried to change feet, or touch another person, lost balance then he or she would be disqualified from the event.
All the participants had to stand on one leg for a record two minutes. However it did not prove too difficult for the students to stand with one leg for such a short duration. The entire bunch of 360 stood for two minutes and created history.

The most people standing on one leg counted to 360 students of Darien High School at Darien, Connecticut, United States of America on May 13, 2011.

Most People Husking Corns

It was a corny affair for every at Knott’s Berry farm. Husking the corns takes one back to the basics of farming.  The farm’s founders Walter and Cordelia Knott had come in there to make a living out of farming. Corns were one of the crops they had grown during the 1920’s . The event was like reliving the old farming heritage.351 persons  gathered at Knott’s Berry farm to husk corns.
As the countdown took off the participants had to shuck the corn, they began peeling the husk all the way to the stalk. It is a skill to peel the husk from the corn. It may be easier to say but when you actually sit to peel the stuff it gets tough. Many would feel annoying to peel of the husk . The job really gets your patience tested.
One has to search for the tip of the corn and cut it from there. Then one has to run a knife through the husk. You have to repeat the same thing on the other side of the cob. Then the task would be take off the silk. And it is actually easier to take out most of the silk putting the corn in running cold water. It takes off most of the silk.
Today it has grown into a an amusement park offering more than 165 rides and shows. The farm now operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company  offers corn in the famous Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant.
The most people husking corn  counted to 351 persons and was set by Knott’s Berry farm at Buena Park, California, United States of America on July 16, 2011.

Most Twins and Triplets in One Class

We find it actually a wee bit surprising to see twins and even more when we see triplets. Some of us may even think  that it is scientifically incredible to have twins and triplets. Many of us might have wondered looking at the facts of what Human Biology had to offer us. But the medical community could well put off our disposition about twins and triplets.
The Keller  Middle School in Texas paddled the world record way . It was for  the twin  and triplets  in the class. The seventh graders  at Keller Middle School  scripted world record for their school for having the most number of twins, triplets and quadruplets. The school English teacher Matt Sanchez said that he started noticing as there was a bunch of athletics.  Totally amused by that he went on to do research on this record to only happily note that there were only 10  figured the last time for this category.  The teacher was overjoyed and so were the children who had  gathered to enjoy the novelty of setting a record.
Kyra Johnson an Keller Middle School f parent  who herself helped in the record breaking effort said that they had to send  copies of all the 33 birth certificates, enrollment documents from the school, a letter from the principal and two notarized witnesses statements validating the authenticity of the documents.
Sanchez felt great to tell that they had set the record.  They felt ecstatic and remarked that now that all of them are linked it would be like one big family.
J.J Pearce School in Richardson had set the record  for the most number of twins and triplets which counted to 10.
These things amuse us because it is a rare thing.  The birth of twins, triplets and quadruplets happen under  remote possibilities. It  is very human to find it striking to see the rarest of the things appearing too much  around you. And it makes us double happy when we actually set that as a unique feat before the world.  It is the incredible and extraordinary things that help you scalp a world record recognition.
The most number of twins and triplets in the seventh grade class of Keller Middle School counted to 13 sets of twins, one set of triplet and one set of quadruplet  at Keller, Texas, United States of America on August 16, 2011.

Most people Writing a Story

This time everyone got into the story telling groove. It is a knack that matters to tell a story effectively. Some people are so good at telling stories that you get to feel the real aspects of the illusionary narration. Although there are stories which do talk about real life incidents but story books  like the Fairy Tales and most of the kids  story books  have the virtual factors hitting out at you more to keep the imagination  spectrum of the little minds  as wide as possible.
Trinity College students  went through the lingual write up. And 953 students contributed to the lengthy script. It was like testing their scope of language, nature and imagination. The previous record  for the most people to write a story  counted to 838  persons  which was organized by YouMe Support Foundation, in Port Vila, Vanuatu.
The event was planned as part  of TCDSU ‘s Mental Health Week which propagated the slogan that mental health is a part of everybody’s story. TCDSU President Bartlett  said that it was fantastic  of Trinity to create history. He also acknowledged the efforts of other people around Dublin  to make the record happen.
The age group of the  participants were wide enough. This proved to the fact that mental health is a part of everyone’s story. There is usually a mindset difference between the young and the old. The young are prepared to undertake risk, are adventurous, accept challenges and are go getters too. But the old are mostly sober, calm, patient and experienced to take the plunge at tasks at the first go. They would understand, analyze and then call it a shot to actually try them. But the young persons are dynamic to do it almost instantly.
The story written by the participants did not win any awards. But that was not the intention of the participants. It was their collective act together to discuss on mental health. Mental Health is more important for a healthy living. A good Mental Health is a condition of the mind devoid of complexes, fears and negativity. Even without any linguistic awards the entire event proved out to be too successful by breaking the world record.
USI President Redmond said that it was incredible of the organizers to get the 953 persons to come together to contribute to the story. It was after all not an easy task and  many would find it hard to talk about mental health.
The most people to write a story counted to 953 persons and was set by Trinity College Students at Dublin, Ireland on November 3, 2011.

Largest Human Olympic Rings

Surrey County council had big plans to celebrate World Olympic Day  and that proved to be a good countdown to  welcome London  2012 Games. Children and  sportspersons  along with teachers and councilors joined the bandwagon with pride. It was after all to create the Olympic rings which is held in high regards across the minds of everyone in the world. So it would be nothing like representing the rings. All the participants treated the chance as a great honour. 1,852 persons form George Abbot School and GB athletes  formed Olympic Rings on the School field.
Saliagopoulos Surrey Council’s cabinet minister for Community Services said that it was great to see  so many children make a piece of Olympic history. It was really spectacular to see so many persons being a part of the Olympic Rings. It looked as though even nature had to laud their efforts. The moment the participants broke the record there was a heavy downpour on the field. However instead of dampening their spirits the group took it to their stride. Everyone could not stop smiling.
The event was intended to involve more students into sports. Getting more children into sports would lay an implicit stress on remaining healthy and fit. Further it also teaches the children the values of  working hard with dedication. This would steer them to achieve their goals.
The previous world record for the Largest Human Olympic Rings was set in Beijing,China featuring as  much as 1,202 persons on June 24, 2008.
The Largest Human Olympic Ring  was formed by 1852 people ahead of London games 2012 at Guildford, Surrey, United Kingdom on June 30, 2011.

Largest Human Star

It is everyone’s dream to be looked upon as a star. It could be a flattery to your ego or your obsession to be in the limelight. This feeling comes naturally to all of us but some are able to have this tag behind their name. This however does not come easy. One has to really pay a price to be termed as a star in the true sense of the word.  Here we have a group of people who actually get together to form a star shape thus fulfilling the star struck process.
326 individuals came together to make a huge human star which went on to get the superlative status of a world record. Make a wish Canada in partnership with shops at Don mills and Don Mills Collegiate Institute helped to make the star formation.
The previous record for the largest human Christmas star was achieved by 439 participants at an event organized in Germany. Rachael Kingstone was excited to achieve this record  and she admitted that she felt elated when her wish for a beautiful butterfly garden   got materialized in 2008.
Make-A-Wish Canada also used the World Records event to speak about their Season of Wishes holiday campaign and their organization, which grants close to 500 magical wishes across the country a year.
The Largest Human star was made by 326  individuals coming together and was set by Make a wish  Canada at Toronto, Ontario , Canada on December 1, 2011.

Largest water Balloon Fight

Another piece of fun  got cooked up at Brigham Young university. The students had planned elaborately  to have their share of joy and excitement. They had zeroed in to play water balloons  with much gusto. The group of 3,927 participants gathered 1,20,021 water balloons to splash on each other.
It was like rekindling the joys of childhood for the students. Each one of them got to the act together and the child like enthusiasm popped out  of their faces when the balloon fight took off in full swing.
The previous record for the Largest Balloon fight counted to 3902 students  with 119211 balloons set by the students from university of Kentucky.
The organizers aimed to crash the previous record by splashing as many balloons as possible and getting as many participants to do the act.
We are sure many of them would have been more than happy to do it. One was mainly to be a proud member of a world record breaking attempt and secondly for the sole joy of doing it. The entire atmosphere looked awesome. Amidst such enthusiasm Kyle Andrews’s  music video was being played  which added to the camaradie.
Each member was given a 30 filled water  balloon and with T shirts they started  hitting out at each other.  The time frame of six minutes could not be considered too long for the students as they began enjoying each and every bit of the act. An American Red Cross blood drive also followed the post-battle lunch.

One B-Y-U student who participated says she hopes this record lasts for awhile, so she can brag to her family and friends. Further 330 balloons had to be fired per second so it was like holding together everyone’s interests and anxiety.
The largest water balloon fight counted to 3927 participants and was achieved by Students of Brigham Young university at Provo, Ultah, United States of America on July 26, 2010.

Largest Toy Pistol Fight

School kids would love this idea. Tell them that you would be organizing a pistol fight and they would all be up for it. Children especially boys around 6 to 10 years of age are totally illusioned and fascinated with comic super heroes. They fantasize them to such an extent that they consider real life situations to the reel thing they watch on television. I am sure many parents of little boys would agree with this as they might have encountered such situations in their households.
Here we have a similar story to share with you. But this time it has got to be 430 students of Washington University who indulge in the gunning process eyeing for the world record.  Washington University seems to have been really bitten by the world record bug. They are so smitten by it that this time was their second time to hit the jackpot with the world record. Last Time the graduating seniors had created the longest massage chain.
The idea to perform the toy pistol fight came out after a lot of brainstorming sessions among class councils, co sponserors. With the hullaballo around while performing the  event which  had actually sown the seeds to build  new friends. All of them shooted the nerf   guns and really got excited with the entire activity. There was a bit of concern about safety that the process aimed at setting a record should not be deviated.  Further the shooting should not be specifically aimed at few persons.
The DUC funded the evewnt with only the record application fees being paid by the student union. So it was all the effort of the Danforth University center taking the major responsibility for the event.
The Largest Toy Pistol Fight counted to 430 students and was set by Washington University Students at St Louis, Missouri, United States of America on November 25, 2010.

Largest Custard Pie Fight

It was like the Indian Festival Holi  is celebrated with much fanfare by everyone getting together to apply colours and spray water all around. The Jewish youth group at Essex  got into the same act but on a slightly different note. In a span of few minutes 200 liters of custard   was thrown on the floors to add more mess  during the fun filled summer camp.
About 700 students joined the custard pie fight in Drake University. It appeared like a Holi like environment. Instead of colours and balloons the event saw the splashing of custard pies on everyone’s faces. The previous record was set by 671 participants from Lawrenceville School  in New Jersey. The event was organized by  ‘Dogtown  After hours’  highlighting on celebration devoid of alcohol.
Everyone got into the act of throwing the custard pie so well that they enjoyed  every bit of the record. The pie fight was voted out the best out of the eight proposals. The student  body president Larson  said that there was a lengthy debate on the type of pies used. The apple filling seemed the cheapest and easiest out of all options and hence they had decided to go ahead with that idea.
The mandatory norm was that the fruit pie flinging frenzy should last for a minimum 60 seconds. For the pie fight to get qualified it was insisted that each person  should have one pie. It was stipulated that each should have two pies and with the target getting over 800 pies only  drew a hole in their pockets.
The largest Custard pie fight counted to 700 participants of Drake University at Des Moines, Iowa, United States of America on April 13, 2011.

Largest Practical Science Lesson

We mean by telling you this news that science has become history. The school children in Birmingham have done just that  by undergoing a practical science lesson. And they went on to learn the science behind bubble blowing from none other than the bubble master mind Samsan Bubbleman. The students got so engrossed in getting the bubble effect that they wanted to acquire mastery in that skill.
They were armored with bubble words and were all well equipped to understand  the physics lessons of gravity and light refraction. In the bargain they ended up producing thousands of gigantic soap spheres and bouncing bubbles.
The students were excited and proud to have been a part of this massive creation of bubbles. Bubbles occupy children’s illusionary fantasies. During kindergarten days itself kids fancy bubbles transporting fairies from place to place or bubbles being a part of some magical invention.
And this time creating so many bubbles all at a time only added more fuel to their burning enthusiasm. About 276 pupils from Bishop Challoner Catholic College were the happy bubble creators during the practical lesson.
Samsam the instructor said that the entire experience was truly un-bubble-ievable  seeing so many bubbles filling up the air. He added that there were many scientific experiments one could make from square bubbles to bubbles powering the world itself.
The pupils under the guidance of Samsam  blew their way making bubbles in anticipation of the Big Bang Fair. The lesson proved to be too much experimental and jolly experience for all the 276 kids.
The Largest practical Science Lesson counted to 276 pupils of Bishop Challoner Catholic College at Birmingham,United Kingdom on March 10, 2012.

Largest Art Session

This might just seem to be a union of art lovers and enthusiasts. And yes do not think that it would mostly be students eager to learn art and fill in their creative illustrations with lovely colours. But rather it was a  three generation affair all pouring in to have some tips and insights on abstract art .
1,103 students at Lisa J Mails Elementary School  along with  their parents, grandparents  and community members took part in the art sessions conducted by fifth grade teacher Mary Eskridge. The whole concept of the world record was intended to celebrate art and enjoy the difference art makes in our lives. Largest High School Lip Dub

Lip Dubbing is a process done by individuals synching their lips  while listening to a song. Every student and staff  at Piscata High School  were delighted to be part of the project  that it ended up being called a world record. A thundering 1,983 participants came out to record the lip dub of  Aretha Franklin music. If you have been to a film shooting site where a song sequence is being shot you would see the artist lip dubbing as the shots get canned into the camera.
It  is a type of a video  that combine individuals and groups to synch lips as they hear the music. So outwardly it would appear as though they are singing the song themselves while tapping the dance floor. In films when we see the final print on the cinema hall after the screenplay and cinematography we get an illusionary feel that the songs are being sung by the individuals portraying the characters of the film.  Lip dubs are usually filmed in a single, unedited shot that often travels through different rooms and situations within a building.
Susan Pascullo  the television production teacher at the high school came up with the idea to do a lip dub and convinced the principal Mr Wanko about her ambitious project .The principal was impressed and inspired took it as an opportunity for a school wide project to drive out anti bullying and heighten the school spirit. The lip dub was announced as a kick off for the School’s anti bullying campaign and  the school’s strong support to curb such activities.
Posters were hung all around to promote staff student participation so that the harmonious partnership could help get the message spread faster. Principal Wanko firmly believed that a lip dub would be enjoyed well by the public and the school students would receive the school’s underlying intentions well. Even the New jersey education department has come up with mandated policies for schools to combat  all forms of harassments and bullying tactfully.
The Largest High School Lip Dub counted to 1,983 participants of Piscata High School at Piscata, New Jersey, United States of America on June 15,2011.

Largest RedHead Gathering

If you have a natural red hair then you really do not have to worry. It means you have opportunity knocking at your door as Sammamish Photographer Anne Lindsay ropes in for the Largest Gathering of Redheads. But the fame and joy also comes with a pinch of salt. The natural red hair persons have a high risk of being diagnosed with Skin cancer. Lindsay had planned to donate 50 cents from each $5 to the Skin Cancer foundation. So it was all decided that those who wished to take part had to get themselves registered at www.redheadsandmoreredheads.com after which they would  subsequently receive  a signed digital photo for the event.
The world record  norms insisted that each participant provided a photo of himself or herself  to prove that she/he was a natural red head. Lindsay felt that to have a natural red hair gets a international touch. Her husband, daughter and dog all sport a  red hair. Lindsay has a book  with  amazing stories of people with beautiful photographs of red heads. She added that she was in search of unique red heads with their unique stories and if she found them she would clear her books to photograph them and include their tales in her literary  yet creative work. Till date Lindsay has photographed 150 red heads and plans to photograph many more.
The world record was the first  annual Red Heads and more Red Heads Day. Anne Lindsay gathered 901 red heads to call it as the Largest Redhead Gathering at Skyline High School.
In the United States it is usually estimated that atleast 2% to 6 % of the population have red hair. This data would take the total red head population to 6 to 18 million only in the U.S
The largest gathering of redheads stood at 901 persons sporting a natural red hair at Sammamish, Washington, United States of America on October 1,2010.

Largest Blonde Parade

It was a parade for young  beauties. They walked, drove and  jumped  through Latvia’s Capital Riga. It was like raining beauties all over with many models coming up with ramp sessions. The show saw participants from many parts of the world. Latvian Association of Blondes  head Marika Gederte  said that 500 participants were registered which included a 15 member team from new Zealand,7 ladies form Finland and Italy. About 32 came from Lithunia.
Most of the participants were decked up in pink dresses and high heels. It  was celebrated as a part of a two day festival  to help bolster  the national spirit during the trying times of recession. The festival was not targeted to be a female emancipation but rather touted as  a tool to return smiles and hopes in the faces of the country men.
The theme of the show was Marilyn Monroe and many blondes began emulating the  hot Hollywood icon as the later turned a ripe 85 years that year. The particular highlight was a  Marilyn Monroe look alike competition which actually steered  a lot of models to  get a complete Monroe make over. The funds received from the event would be diverted to Latvian Charities. This colourful idea took off due to the severe economic slump.
Marika Gederte, president of the Latvian Association of Blondes said that she was tired to get up every morning to only see the newspapers bearing headline  news of business slow down, job insecurity, high costs and other trade problems. She felt that the country needed something fresh and rejunevating to lift everyone’s mood and the blonde parade just fitted the requirement adequately. Many times  Gederte felt that if there was anything she could do for her country  and by setting this world record she is just too proud to be blonde.
The largest Blonde Parade counted to over 500 blondes at the Go Blonde Festival at Riga, Latvia on June 3,2011.
