Largest Custard Pie Fight

It was like the Indian Festival Holi  is celebrated with much fanfare by everyone getting together to apply colours and spray water all around. The Jewish youth group at Essex  got into the same act but on a slightly different note. In a span of few minutes 200 liters of custard   was thrown on the floors to add more mess  during the fun filled summer camp.
About 700 students joined the custard pie fight in Drake University. It appeared like a Holi like environment. Instead of colours and balloons the event saw the splashing of custard pies on everyone’s faces. The previous record was set by 671 participants from Lawrenceville School  in New Jersey. The event was organized by  ‘Dogtown  After hours’  highlighting on celebration devoid of alcohol.
Everyone got into the act of throwing the custard pie so well that they enjoyed  every bit of the record. The pie fight was voted out the best out of the eight proposals. The student  body president Larson  said that there was a lengthy debate on the type of pies used. The apple filling seemed the cheapest and easiest out of all options and hence they had decided to go ahead with that idea.
The mandatory norm was that the fruit pie flinging frenzy should last for a minimum 60 seconds. For the pie fight to get qualified it was insisted that each person  should have one pie. It was stipulated that each should have two pies and with the target getting over 800 pies only  drew a hole in their pockets.
The largest Custard pie fight counted to 700 participants of Drake University at Des Moines, Iowa, United States of America on April 13, 2011.
