Biggest Luminous Pearl

China unearthed a new found prosperity.Just like  getting rich over night Wenchang City   discovered a new found aeons old treasure which was worth millions of Dollars.Really priceless indeed a 6 ton  night pearl   and standing  5 ft tall  was  worth 2.2 billion yuan  (or approximately 331 million U.S Dollars)  .The pearl was found in Northern China's Inner Mongolia. It  had the an inherent quality to  glow in the dark as it was mainly composed of a flourite mineral  that emits translucent crystal ray  in the absence of light.
These pearls are usually green in colour  and are known as 'Yemengzhu, in the Chinese language. These pearls were prominent  in the Chinese Legends  and are considered  to be a symbol of prosperity. Some people believe that the mere touching of these pearls can bring a lot of good  luck and fortune. These pearls are very sought after in China, especially when they are this size. The luminous stones, sometimes known as a Chintamani, are a wish-fulfilling jewel within the Buddhist religion.Scientists believe that fluorite glows in the dark because of mineral impurities in the lattice that makes up its structure, as well as exposure to radiation from the atmosphere over time. Green colours are slightly rarer than the others and may be due to the presence of rare earth ions such as manganese.
The stone, formed mostly of a fluorite mineral, glows green in the dark and is prized more highly than diamonds in China.   The first ever modern Yemengzhu, however, was discovered in China only 20 years ago. The unique gem is indigenous to China, and cannot be found anywhere else in the world.  Fluorite is well known for the amazing colours it can give out, so much so that it has been given the nickname of 'the most colourful mineral in the world'.  Its unique properties mean that the characteristic of fluorescence, when a material emits light, is named after fluorite itself.
The Biggest Luminous Pearl weighed  6 tons and was set by the Chinese Pearl at Wenchang City,Hainan Province,China on November 25,2010.
