Largest SkateBoard

If you are crazy about skating then you would really love to read this news. Can you imagine a skate board that is 12 times longer, wider and taller than your ordinary skateboard you might be using for your skating treks. If you are unable to believe or imagine  we bet if you read the story you might well get an idea about this ecstatic fantasy. We tell you all this began. The creation of The World’s Largest Skateboard is the brain child of Joe Ciaglia (California Skateparks) and professional skateboarder/entrepreneur Rob Dyrdek.California Skateparks began a working relationship with Rob Dyrdek 3 years ago with the design and construction of his Fantasy Factory and Dyrdek Enterprises’ corporate offices. As Rob and Joe’s creativity and energy began to produce some amazing things, they came up with the idea of creating the World’s Largest Skateboard.  There was one qualification.  If it was to be designed and built by Joe, it would be done to the exact specs and quality of a real skateboard.  The completed board far exceeded anybody’s expectations and is 100% authentic to specifications, designed and hand built in-house by CA skateparks craftsman.  The board which has a value equivalent to an American sports car, features a 7 ply pressed wood deck (5 1/2 inches thick with interior steel frame support), real grip tape, custom graphics, custom fabricated steel trucks with adjustable rubber bushings, rubber vehicle tires (2 foot 6 inch diameter), and bearings.  The board is built on a 12.5:1 ratio to a standard size skateboard and measures 36 feet 7 inches long and 8 foot 8 inches wide, stands 3 feet 7 inches tall, and weighs in at over 3,600 pounds.
ciagila remarked that the  skate board was fun to build, fun to ride on and really fun to see people's reaction  to it.The World's Largest Skateboard is so big it has to be fitted with racing tyres from a car and transported on a flat bed truck.
The Largest Skateboard measured 36 ft 7 inches long and was set by California Designers at Los Angeles,California,United States of America on October 15,2010.
