This proverb is usually said as an encouragement to a person who is overcome by some difficulty and is unable to see any positive way forward.But here the context is totally opposite.The silversmiths have created 7.33 ft high silver clock weighing almost 50.163 Kg to be recorded as the Largest Silver clock ever.
The Largest Silver Clock is made of sterling silver (silver with purity of 92.5%) excluding the motor, the inside mechanism of the clock and the outer glass.Let us get more deeper in to the vital stats of this luxurious master piece.The width at the maximum point is 21.5 inches and the side wall thickness is 16 inches.The purity of silver is hallmarked by a hallmarking center authorized by Bureau of Indian Standards. The sculpture was majority handmade and was manufactured using traditional tools and techniques in order to obtain better result.
The huge silver clock was the vision of the owner of Sukra Jewellery Mr KalkiRaju.On December 2008 the work for creating the clock went on floors with a group of selected master silversmiths working 6 hours a day for 149 days.All the silversmiths were given adequate training and guidance.The work got completesd on June 16,2009.It took them over 5300 man hours to finish the unique piece.
The Largest Silver clock was set by Sukra Jewellery at Chennai,Tamilnadu,India on July 3,2009.
