Single Brand traded auction gets Price Candy


Rolex got a nice ovation on its 100th anniversary with  sales pitching high as ever.And this would be a dream for any company  to see its sales  and overall turnover soaring  like anything.And very much to say Atiquorum  had everything working its way during the auction for Rolex watches.
The  auction  of Rolex Sports Watches was  titled 'Revolution' saw  huge interest across  bidders from worldwide.
In total, $8,515,260 worth of timepieces were sold and that saw a Rolex's image embedded on the world market for  luxury and sports watches .

The Apr. 17 thematic auction—Antiquorum’s first for a single watch brand—was held at its U.S. headquarters in New York City, with bidders from around the world on-site, online, and in Milan, Italy.
 Antiquorum said the auction set several world records

 # a 1979 Oyster Perpetual Date Comex Sea-Dweller, which brought the highest price($248,800);
  # two 1967 Oyster Perpetual Date Sea-Dweller Submariners--
  # a Double Red (Patent Pending) Mark I and
     a Prototype No Valve Double Red Sea-Dweller--($237,000 each),
  # a 1973 Submariner issued to the British military ($166,800), and
  # a 1958 Oyster Perpetual Milgauss Black Dial in stainless steel $190,400).

   The most beautiful watch in the sale, the rare "Jean-Claude Killy" Antimagnetic Oyster Chronograph, fetched $155,000. The 270 lots took in more than $ 8.5 million.
As officials at Atiquorum felt that as Rolex turned 100 this was the best opportunity to gather the best available examples of Rolex watches and displays so that  a unique  thematic auction could be created for the brand that has been in the business for  so long.
The most expensive Rolex watches was set by Atiquorum for worth $8515260  at Atiquorum's vintage auction 'Revolution in New York,United States of America on April 23,2008.
