Longest Condom Chain

Can this be a good step to prevent HIV/AIDS?The brand Love plus is the only social brand in Romania which donates 100 per cent of its revenues to the HIV/AIDS prevention programme.So taking a step further Population Service International  Foundation set up the Longest Condom chain  spanning 3,300 meters.
The condom chain which boasted of the love plus  condoms  saw the support  coming from Romanian Pop diva Loredana Boncea and many other Non governmental organisations  which actively nursed the AIDS cause.
The Current Longest Condom chain seemed to have surpassed the previous record of 2.7 Km long condom chain  set by UNESCO  Thailand on December 1,2006 which also happened to be International Aids Day.
Through its social marketing programmes, PSI Romania protected, during its 9 years existence, over 50 million sexual contacts through the social brand Love Plus.Through the world record Population Service International are trying to instigate the youth have safe sexual encounters.This also can be termed as an awareness campaign to minimise the risk of Aids.
About 1,683 people tied the   25.773 love plus condoms together making it a 3268,47  meters long chain.This served as a major booster especially in those regions were sexual encounters get very much rampant and that too with multiple partners.
Love Plus donated over 500.000 euros for HIV/AIDS prevention among youth through the "I do what I want, but I know what I am doing.This campaign educated the youth about the consequences of the act and stressed the need to have a clarity and not act on impulse.
The Longest Condom chain measured 3268,47 meters  and was set Population service International at Bucharest,Romania on October 29,2007.
