A Thobe is a Saudi Arabian male costume with an ankle length garment  with long sleeves.It is  the most common traditional outfit for  Arab men.Lomar is a famous brand for all kinds of arabian clothing and other merchandise accessories.The past meets the future in Lomar modern designs. The Jeddah-based thobe company, Lomar, created a thobe measuring 33.90 meters in height and 17.20 meters in width  setting the world record for the Largest Thobe ever.The Largest Thobe was created by Lomar to put Jeddah on the global map.They wanted to  identify Jeddah with its rich culture & tradition and expose the uniqueness to the world.So what could get  better than highlighting the traditional arabic men attire to gain a mention in the World records.

The owner Loai Naseem admitted that it took nearly two months and more than 20  tailors  to complete the work.The thobe would then be cut in to smaller dresses and donate them all to local charities.Tafaseel LLC, owner of the trademarked brand “Lomar”, recently celebrated “The World's Largest Thobe” in Red Sea Mall, one of the largest mall in Jeddah.The Thobe was unveiled before the His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Meshari bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, as well as a large crowd of visitors ,media and TV channels.
This was Lomar's first major International event.And they took the world record as an expression of gratitude to the city of Jeddah,to cut the big thobe in to small dresses and give it for charity and above all also as a part of corporate social responsibility.
