Largest Brick

A novel way to celebrate the Nation's birthday and the country's oldest brick making institution's 116th birth anniversary.
Acme Brick celebrated America’s birthday and Acme’s 116th year in a really big way by creating over  9,000 pounds stuff. The staff at Acme's Denton,Texas Brick plant delivered 'Baby Clay'weighing over 3 tons, and 116 inches (9ft,8 inches)long .Every inch to the brick has been contributed for every year Acme has been in the business. The huge brick is quite contrary to its name. The name as we said is 'Baby Clay' but looks nothing less than a giant. The brick also measures 39 inches tall and 39 inches wide..That makes Clay nearly 3,000 times the size of a standard brick.
The newborn was named Clay because he is comprised of clay materials from each of Acme’s 23 brick plants around the Southwest. It took a lot of skill, patience, and labor to “deliver” Baby Clay. The president of Acme rightly pointed out that the brick demonstrates  the exceptional expertise  among the brickmaking staff in the company. This was an unprecedented challenge for them and a fitting tribute to country's  oldest and largest American owned brick making  company .
Baby Clay is Acme’s fifth attempt to create this world record brick. The first four attempts, beginning in September 2004, were tremendous learning experiences for the determined brickmakers.
The crew made adjustments, and the fifth time was the charm. Acme’s Denton plant required 13 months to create Baby Clay compared to the normal time of a week for a normal brick. The successful birth of 'Baby clay' portrays the hardwork and persistence  which are America's traditional values for notching  success
During October and November of 2007, Baby Clay was on tour, visiting Acme offices and plants in celebration of the company’s 116th birthday. A special trailer was created to accommodate the newborn in his travels. It is anticipated that Clay will be making a number of “guest” appearances in other venues as well.
The Largest Brick was set by 'Bbay Clay from Acme Brick at Forth Worth,Texas,United States of America on November 28,2007.
