Longest Feather Boa Ever Made

Ostrich.com had produced the world's longest feather boa stretching  over a mile long.A feather boa is a fashion accessory that is usually worn wrapped around the neck like a scarf.A boa can be made of fur, but it is usually made instead from various types of feathers. Ostrich, marabou, chandelle, and turkey are the most common feathers used, although non-feather boas are also available. Feathers used go through bleaching or dyeing processes and are glued and stitched into lengths called "ply". Sometimes more natural boas are produced. A lightweight chandelle boa might only weigh 65 grams (2.3 oz), whereas a 24 ply ostrich boa can weigh as much as 200 grams (7.1 oz).
Ostrich.com, based in Chicago, imports and exports a variety of ostrich products including feathers, boas, meat, leather, dusters, eggs, livestock, and reference material. The company also publishes the world's largest-circulation ostrich newsletter with over 55,000 subscribers.
The oversized accessory is scheduled to be unveiled at this year's Miss Exotic World Weekend in Las Vegas .The design, preparation, and transport of a continuous piece of feather boa over 5,000 feet long was a logistical nightmare. After a lot of hard work from the staff the company managed to present the final product at the paegant contest.
The company also  scheduled the Longest Bump-n-Grind  to occur simultaneously with the unveiling of the feather boa.Over 250 finest dancers were expected to offer their performances for the grand event.
Ostrich.com wanted to make the moment filled with fun and also a one to remembered in the history. All the events  were synchronised and well coordinated to give a top class show.
The longest feather boa was set by Ostrich.com at Las Vegas,Nevada,United States of America on June 2,2007.
