Imamgine the young little fingers stringing the instruments to create music out of the musical notes. That was probably Susan Pascale the founder director of South Padadena Children's Orchestra also wanted to harness out from the young kids. She did exactly what she wanted to and continues to do even today.Throughout the year the orchestra offers group classes and private lessons in the areas of Violin,Viola, cello, bass, piano, flute.Students as young as 3 years old are encouraged to make a foray in to this musical world and challenge their little fingers to recreate the music magic.
The youngest string orchestra consisted of children from ages 5 years to 12 years as they performed at Carnegie Hall leaving the entire stunned. This resulted in the audience giving a standing ovation to the kids and they received the highest award from the World Projects International at the New York Band and Orchestra .Pascale reminisces the fact that during the rehearsels prior to the final show the kids showed remarkable improvement with every successive performance that made us look in disbelief that these putting up such a marvellous performance are so young.
The entire hall gasped looking at the fine expertise at which the kids from kindergarten to middle schools stood up with their violins and violas during the final number.
It was a prestigious and proud moment for all at the south Pasadena Children Orchestra to make the little kids deliver such a high quality performance that too at the Carnegie Hall.Making little kids perform effortlessly by raising benchmarks to the level of adults was really a task well performed. They were the only elementary orchestra to compete in all High School Festivals.
Now that becomes a huge challenging task for the high school students and artists to raise the bar even further. The youngest string orchestra comprising of students from 5 years to 12 years was set at Carnegie Hall by the South Pasadena Childrens Orchestra director Susan Pascale at New York,United States of America on May 29,2009.
