If you are crazy
about Burgers then you may as well
follow suit of some of the restaurants bigwigs in Michigan. With 24 hours' notice and a mere $350 ,
you and a hungry pack of your closest friends, relatives, and/or neighbors can
sit down to the world-record-breaking "Absolutely Ridiculous Burger"
at Mallie's Sports Bar in small-town Michigan.
The Mallie’s Sports Grill and Bar have
come up with a huge burger feat which
looks more like a tall pillar. So if anyone
has a massive appetite can order the absolutely elephant sized burger and fill one’s platter enormously. If you have the appetite and the capacity to
burn a few holes into your pocket then this could be the right choice.
Steve Mallie a Detroit area restaurant owner has broken the record by dishing out a 134 pound.
burger. The biggest burger named ‘Absolutely Ridiculous’ was made of beef, bacon, cheese and got
delivered on a 50 pound bun. The owner
Mallie said that he wanted to be in the
news for people to know that he had the biggest and the best burgers one could crave for. We request you not to tackle the burger alone
as you may need the help of three men to
flip the burger using two steel sheets.
The giant burger did
make everyone absolutely crazy about its size. The restaurant kitchen entrance
was hogged by cameras as dozens of
customers had gathered to take pictures of the
masterpiece . A packed restaurant was
there to witness the event including the Southgate Mayor Norma Wurmlinger.
Chief Chef Arthur Laramie said that he had been
cooking all the night to make
this burger monster and while he watched
it make its way to the restaurant entrance from the kitchen he felt
apprehensive about the fact that the burger should not be dropped by the
carters. The proud father of the owner
Romeo Mallie could not stop laughing as the
entire experience was like having a ball.
Great food has always been a delight since ages . After
the 134-pounder was officially weighed, it was sold to customers who were
awaiting the charbroiled-treat.
Till date only a few have dared to eat the gigantic creation. The burger could
be as tall as a toddler but heavier than
a full grown adult. Restaurant owner Steve Mallie had
already been serving half-pound “house” burgers, 1-pound “Big
Daddy” burgers,
3-pound “jumbo” burgers, 10-pound “monster” burgers, and even “behemoth” burgers that tip the scales at 50
pounds and cost two hundred bucks. But even that’s like a slyder compared to the Absolutely Ridiculous Burger. Steve started with 200
pounds of 80/20 beef and sculpted it
into a patty that takes three men to lift into the oven, where it was cooked for 16 hours. It’s topped with “a proportional
amount” of bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles… then crowned
with a 26-inch-wide bun.
According to the menu, “There is ABSOLUTELY no reason for this
burger. They say a team of 30 can
take the Absolutely Ridiculous Challenge: polish off the entire thing in 1 hour
or less, and the burger is free, and everyone on the team gets a free T-shirt
and a picture on the Wall of Fame.
The Biggest Ham burger weighed 134 pound and was
set by Mallie Sports Grill & Bar
at Southgate, Michigan, United States of
America on April 27, 2008.
