There are many who
love continental food. Even if you think of having a complete continental
cuisine mostly seafood in a good
restaurant would certainly mean digging
a few holes in your pocket. Seafood is
costly and the price depends on
the rarest of seafood you order on the platter. The Fish Society at
Hindhead came up with 17 kinds of
seafood sourced from the four corners of
the world. The variety of seafood on the plate
was valued at £2,500 and could feed 30 persons.
The
17 varieties included in the hamper included 16 inch long giant Siberian crab legs,
extra large crab claws from Chile, freshly cooked native UK lobster, four kinds
of prawns including monstrous prawns from Madagascar weighing in at half a
pound each, assorted more humble but nevertheless crucial shellfish, and as the
magnificent centerpiece, 750g of Sevruga caviar. The selection is
carefully balanced between ready-peeled items and fish still in its shell (less
efficient but an essential element in the excitement). 9.3kgs of edible weight
(15kgs gross), so even the most gVariety Seafood from Fish Society luttonous guests will be sated.
"Atomic" includes double helpings of caviar and crab leg (11 kg
edible weight).
The launch of the Caviar & Crustacean Atomic
Seafood Hamper makes it easily the most luxurious and expensive seafood hamper
on the market and a world first for The Fish Society. The Fish Society
Chairman James Smith said that their members always wanted a big
spread and they would certainly
find these packs very much convenient. They would take a long time with the
selection and would wonder to get the
balance right. So the Hamper is actually an answer to the members of
the Fish Society. He also said that the price is not an issue considering the meaningful amounts of caviar. According to him the hamper was a value for money deal.
The Fish Society
was established for over 10 years and is the UK's premier mail order and
online fishmonger. They deliver sustainably sourced organic fish and seafood to
over 10,000 customers in the UK & Europe.
The Most expensive seafood Hamper contained 17 types of seafood from all over
