A
butcher has set a new world record by cutting the longest slice of ham. And using the single slice of
ham, the cook made a 130,90 ft long bar snack known locally as a 'pincho'. We
sold the sandwich at one Euro per portion and gave the money to charity.
And just like a true professional butcher he
perfectly cut and carved a 19.8 meter long slice of Parma ham And this
was the highlight of the world record attempt. As we all know butcher is the
person who cuts meat and sells them. Here Nico Jimenez
was so well adept in his trade that he cut the 19.8 meter long ham slice effortlessly and set it as a master piece. One needs to
know one’s craft so well to have gained
so much perfection. The slice was
then dressed to be made into a ham sandwich.
The world record attempt was sponsored Juan Bonal Foundation .Jimenez’s long slice of ham measuring around 20 meters
easily scripted its way into the world record books. The crafty butcher,
cook earned many accolades for his expertise in his craft.
The longest slice of ham not only made heads
turn amazed at Jimenez’s feat but
also was successful in raising
sufficient money for noble causes. The
revenues that chipped in through the sale of the ham sandwiches were pumped
towards charitable work.
The longest ham sandwich measured 130,90 ft and the ham slice measured 19.8 meters was set by Nico Jimenez at Pamplona, Spain on October
30, 2009.
