Here in this post you
are going to come across two die hard rabbit lovers. We have heard about museum
with miniature stuffs, historical depiction, coke memorabilia the list just
goes on and on. But this one is a
little strange. We mean to say a museum alone has
been opened for rabbits sculptures and rabbit related items. Now we
tell you who got the bunny affect so much in to them. We shall
introduce you to the owners of Bunny Museum of Pasadena. They are
none other than Steve Lubanski and Candace
Frazee.
We tell you how their mutual Bunny love kicked off. It all
started on a romantic platform and ended up as a bunny craze which has been one
of the reasons for their relationship going headstrong. It all began when she called him
honey-bunny, and he gave her a stuffed bunny, for Valentine’s Day. Steve
Lubanski and Candace Frazee met in 1992, at a singles seminar, and both
discovered their love for bunnies. At first, each gave the other bunny gifts,
on holidays, then, every day, and even several times a day. At their wedding
reception, in 1994, Steve showed up in a bunny costume, they both did the bunny
hop, and ate carrot cake.
In just a few years, the couple already had an impressive collection
of bunny memorabilia, so, in 1998,
they officially opened the Bunny Museum, right in the house they live in.
So you can now realize bunnies were so close to their hearts that they kept them
inside a museum in their house. But the collection kept growing,
and the Bunny Museum now features over 26,000 bunny-inspired things, from
stuffed toys, to wind chimes, phones and pretty much anything you can imagine.
Since Steve and Candice actually live in the Bunny Museum, admission is free,
but by appointment only. So far the cute museum has been visited by 16,000 people.
If you are also impressed with their work then you are
most welcomed to visit the museum but make sure that do not end up calling the
collection as rabbits as Candace may take that alone with a pinch of salt. The
couple have
seven real bunnies and continue to expand their collection at antique, novelty
and out-of-town stores. Even when they go on vacation, there are bunny
influences - like the Rabbit Ridge Winery in Paso Robles or the Jackrabbit
Trading Post in Joseph City, Arizona.
The
Largest Collection of Bunny Memorabilia counted to 24,632 Bunny related items
and was set by the Bunny Museum at Pasadena, California , United States of
America on March 27,2010.
