Lots of Nachos and more with Love

Now you might   some hunger pangs if you read this record. As we are going to be taking  you  to get a sneak preview of  delicious nachos served on a   48 ft long tray . If that was not enough there wasn’t just a few of them but the long tray was bombarded with mountain loads of it.  So if you   love to eat them then   we suggest you   should have not missed to be at the venue when  the youth were   actually trying their culinary skills to make some yummy nachos for a world record treat.
Frisco’s Northstar Church welcomed 355 teens and their parents to build a 3,555 pounds Nachos   to be laid on a 48 ft long tray   accompanied by chips,   salsa and  jalapenos. This works out to 10 pounds of nachos being prepared by a single person to take the total output to 3550 pounds.   A custom plate, 48-feet long and 4-feet wide, was built to hold 2,200 pounds of yellow tortilla chips, 600 pounds of nacho cheese, 200 pounds of shredded cheddar cheese, 250 pounds of sour cream, 250 pounds of jalapeños, and 200 pounds of picante sauce.  After the chips came the nacho cheese, the picante  sauce and the jalapenos. Then came the heat lamps borrowed from local auto body shops to cook the concoction. The final weight: 3,555.25 pounds.
John Cantrell Jr  punched the numbers  on his Hewlett Packard  32s II scientific calculator. Cantrell is certified by the Texas   Board Land Surveying to fulfill the requirement to officially measure the record. The previous record for the Largest Plate of Nachos  weighed 3,158 pounds and was set at  a restaurant in  Richmond, Virginia  in the year 2008. The assistant pastor Lindberg of the North Star Church felt that the record deserved to be the belonged to Texas alone and it was his dream for many years.  He felt it was imperative for the church to set something irresistible to the teens. It has been their constant effort to elevate the youth to grow socially,   physically, mentally and spiritually in their lives.
Everything had to be documented right from hand washing to the weight of the ingredients on  the packages.  Apart from this the church also had to get the approval from the city’s health board for the trough design and food preparation plan. Every Wednesday night  Arora   provides a cost-free, alcohol-free and drug-free event for students in 6th through 12th grades. Teens enjoy live music, billiards, carpet-ball and the largest video game screen in Frisco. The effort extends beyond Frisco. Church leaders say   Arora   offers a fun and meaningful way for Dallas youth to grow mentally, physically, socially and spiritually. As for the nachos, records were made to be broken.
The Largest Plate of Nachos weighed 3555 pounds and was set by North Star Church  by gathering 355 teens and their parents at Frisco, Texas, United States of America on April 9, 2010.
