Pat a cake and stack
it up together. The food network staff had a good time spending the weekend cooking, flipping ,
stacking a staggering number of pancakes
to make it look like a pan cake tower. The tower of Giza in Italy might
be getting a contender but this one is all the more edible . So this not only
pleases your eyes but appeases your taste buds too.
The staff at Food
Network stacked a whopping 725
pancakes to make it stand tall at 32
inch elevation. About 250 eggs, 11 lbs of flour
and more than 26 pints of milk
went into the making of this pancake tower. It took the team 13 hours to make and erect
the tower. The efforts of the Food Network staff did not go in vain as they
smashed the previous pan cake tower which counted to just 672 pan cakes measuring 74 cm. This was made by Krunoslav
Budiselic (Croatia) at Hotel Toplice, Terme Catez, Slovenia.
There
would hardly be anyone on earth who could dislike pan cakes. Nick Thorogood of the Food Network United Kingdom said that one of the greatest aspects of British Food was
that it has the tradition and celebration of events like Pan cake Day.
They wanted to celebrate the current year’s Pan Cake Day differently and hence felt it would be the best to stack as
many pan cakes a possible to make it look unique.
The
Tallest stack of Pan cakes measured 32 inch in height and counted to 725 pan
cakes was set by Food Network in London, United Kingdom on March 9,2011.
