If you are
contemplating to escape from the busy
life in search of relaxation and fun
then coming down to Alabama would
put an end to all your woes. Alabama may not
have an Eiffel Tower or Statue of Liberty, or even a really
awesome-but-pointless stainless steel arch, but the state does boast a number
of formidable and equally pointless roadside attractions.
It would be a dream come true to watch Alabama’s premiere festivals.
The main attraction is the Alabama Butter beans Festival which is celebrated in Pinson nestled in the heart of Alabama. The Alabama Butterbean Festival
has activities to offer people of all age groups ranging from kids to
grandparents.
The 5th Butter bean Festival proved out to
be a crowd puller as it turned out to be a wporld record attempt. In a way the
festival finds its way in the hall of fame. It boasted of 1010 gallons of butter beans in a
4ft tall, 7 ft wide metal pot.
The pot was constructed by local area businesses. The pot weighed a staggering
1010 gallons.
Festival
Director Phil Sims credited Barry Bradford of Bradford & Hines Custom Metal
Fabrication, who doubled the size of the original pot his company had made in
less than a month after they found out a church in former Yugoslavia had
broken a former world record of 400 gallons
by building a pot holding 832
gallons of baked beans. The previous record for the largest pot of baked
beans was held by Sarcievo , Macedonia
with a 832.14 US gallons of baked
beans.
The
Largest pot of baked beans contained 1010 gallons of butter beans and was set by Alabama Butter
Beans Festival at Pinson, Alabama, United states of America on September 5,2010.
