Wataniya serves the Biggest Pasta Bowl ( Record crushed in a year's time)


Wataniya restaurants have set a pasta story.  They dished up a   2 meter wide   , 6-metre long Wataniya Pasta which weighed 4,300 kilograms -prepared using tasty Sbarro pasta. The biggest bowl of pasta and the longest sandwich; on a rainy Saturday, Qatar broke those two records previously held by the United States and Italy. Wataniya Restaurants collaborated with Al Markhiya Primary Independent Girls’ School in setting the new world records at a function held at the Doha Golf Club.
More than 200 Wataniya staff labored to create an overwhelming 4,300kg of pasta in just about two hours. The 2- meter wide, 6-metre long Wataniya Pasta surpassed the previous World Record Pasta by more than 1,000 kilograms. The previous record belonged to the US which set a record of 3336kg of pasta in 2004.
Corporate Chef Kamal Mustafa   said that   the goal was to successfully  accomplish at the same time not compromising on safety and sanitation of food products.  Public safety has always been   the top focus. The Sbarro restaurants  are devoted to serving  biggest pasta meals  which comprise of  nutritious, fresh and  healthy  ingredients.

The proud Nasser Beydoun  the CEO OF  THE Doha based Wataniya Restaurants said that Wataniya’s Pasta record proves  how much committed Sbarro  is to serving  the best and biggest pasta meals. However the current record was superseded  in a year’s time.
The Largest Bowl of Pasta weighed 9767 pounds and was set by Wataniya Restaurants In Doha, Qatar on March 28, 2009.
