Pounds of Chips chip in money for Charity

A box of chips   offered to eat   while watching a movie   would be a great idea. And many chip lovers like us would really vouch for it.  But the Fish and chips shop at   Adventure Island   fun park  has been very generous to offer chips in plenty  to all the visitors in the park. So we assure all the guys might have had a lip smacking chips treat   apart from the adventure very much lovable adventure rides in the park.
The Fish and chips shop   cooked up 448 kilos   of chips   piled up inside a giant box much to attraction of everyone gathered there.   About five staff took four hours   and 20 minutes to cut the potatoes, deep fry the chips and box them up. They have shattered the previous record  of the largest serving of chips which  weighed a paltry  368.5 Kg  set  in the year 2004.  The five men team  who were the makers of the huge chunk of chips were Gregg Smith the head of catering along with his school mate James Gibbs  catering group head, Barry Campney, Sean Handley, and Tim Rainbow  who took up the mammoth task  and completed  it the unique way.
Once cooked, the chips were tipped into a giant replica of the restaurant's chip box - 54in (137cm) long, 46in (116cm) wide, 30in (75cm) high, and weighing 70.5lb (32kg).  The box had to be a super-sized version of the regular chip boxes to meet food hygiene standards.  The chips had to be edible and safe   and therefore the huge container had to meet  health and safety regulations.
Tracy Jones the spokesperson of the park  said the process involved a lot of effort  as everything had to be done from scratch. There was a really good atmosphere. Loads of people turned up. The biggest problem was stopping children putting their hands in and taking the chips before we were finished.
Visitors to the seaside resort could buy a cone of chips for one pound ($1.60, 1.10 Euros), with the money going to charity. The new world record was also aimed at raising awareness and funds for the Southend   Hospital Charitable Foundation's Bosom Pals Appeal. Philip Miller the chief executive of the park   said a fish supper   on a seafront was the best way to kick a celebration.
The Largest serving of chips weighed 448 Kilos and was set by Fish and Chip Shop at Adventure Island Park in London, United Kingdom on June 30, 2011.
