an independent mobile retailer with

Sp apart from making waves in the technological and

also been doing great rounds on the chocolaty sphere too. Carphone Warehouse has unveiled its biggest and
sweetest Christmas present yet - a chocolate coin measuring a huge 3.6m x 3.6m it weighs over 270kg and is the equivalent of 5,081 bars or over 279 pints of
chocolate - setting the new world record for the Largest chocolate coin.
The
previous world record for the largest chocolate coin was set by a Bucharest
(Romania) shopping mall, with a 265 kilos chocolate coin, measuring 1.35m. Carphone’s chocolate coin was incomparable in terms of size with regards to the Romanian Record. The
World's Largest Chocolate Coin was made by melting 271kg of Belgian chocolate
at 45 degrees and took over 80 hours and 10 people to assemble in London's
Westfield in Shepherds Bush.
Matt Stringer the
Managing Director of the company said that chocolate coins are traditional stocking fillers but was confident that it would be greatly difficult
to find a stocking which
could be big enough to fit their giant coin. He commented that it was indeed
incredible to see such a massive master piece of chocolate circle.
The coin was created to
help launch the company ‘s
mission of free £200 Christmas Gift Cards. The corporation has come up with its biggest Christmas
surprises and that too by dishing out a chocolate coin that can just make any one smack his lips.
So the company makes you talk with their
mobile sets when you are on the
move at the same time they also make you smile by gifting you with a chocolate treat for Christmas. The previous year 2011 proved to be the
highlight with the company making
reviews by sponsoring for the Appy
Awards. The Appy awards which took place
on April 2011 was the first major app
award ceremony which was exclusively
designed to promote and bolster innovation
and development in the
application technology. With so much spice and flavor cooking up on the research field of the techno sphere the company decided to add up sweet by making a chocolate coin that would mark the corporate journey till date even more shining and fascinating
enough.
The largest chocolate coin measured 3.6m*3.6m and weighed 270 Kg and was
