Most Varieties of Gin Commercially Available

Gin   is a  spirit   which derives its predominant flavour from  juniper berries. From its earliest beginnings in the   Middle ages   gin has evolved over the course of a millennium from a  herbal medicine to an object of commerce in the spirits industry. Today, the gin category is one of the most popular and widely distributed range of spirits, and is represented by products of various origins, styles, and flavor profiles that all revolve around juniper as a common ingredient.
The Feathers Hotel in Woodstock earned another feather in its cap. They   have 161 gins  with bottles dating back to the 1960 s  and far away as South America and Japan setting the world record  for the Largest Gin Collection. Jeremy Duplessis   the manager of the hotel said that they had picked up   gins from all corners  of the world  and felt  that by achieving the world record their efforts had been rewarded.
He added that it was a great moment for the hotel and the   team .  it also kicks the Queen's Jubilee off in a traditional way  because  she loves  gin and tonic. Duplessis also informed that if anyone wanted to emulate them they should be prepared to  put in lot of time and energy for the task.
He  said that there was a big difference from one gin to another. There were a lot of stuff  out there  which was mass produced and generic  but some of them had to be ordered.
The hotel's collection took three years to amass.   It includes brands from The Netherlands, Spain, Japan, the US, and Poland. Some date back to the 1960s and are worth £200 per bottle.
The most  varieties of gins commercially available counted to 161 and was set by Feathers Hotel in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, United kingdom on June 6, 2012.
