Most People Dressed as Superman

Superman the super human of the virtual world has been a sensation with kids from the time cartoon animations took the world by its fascinations. Almost every kid fancies a superman character and such illusions do influence their behavior till they are about 10 years old. Nexen Inc a world leader in developing oil and gas resources from around the world thought it would be great to set an example on a noble note. In a way for raising funds for raising funds for a noble cause, 437 Nexen Inc. staff were dressed in superhero costumes to attract people - and set the new world record for the Most People Dressed as Superman. We tell you however the guys may not be able to run faster than a speeding bullet, or be stronger than a locomotive, leap tall buildings in a single bound. But they have accomplished something in a united way which probably no other group has ever done. All the employees gathered together for 10 minutes under the monitoring of the officials and judges assembled there. It was a full of fun and a team building exercise too.
The previous record for the most people dressed as supermen was achieved by 288 participants at an event organized by Cuchulainn Gaels (Ireland) in Omeath, County Louth, Ireland. In order to be counted in the record attempt, each costume had to have: a full body cover outfit in blue, red underpants over the blue outfit, an S on the chest in red and yellow, a yellow belt, red boots or full boot covers in red, and a red cape. Each staff member paid for a portion of their costume with a partial subsidy from Nexen. The world record kicked off the Nexen 2011 United Way campaign in true superhuman style. Nexen is a proud supporter of the United Way of Calgary and Area, which is now in full swing with the 2011 "Change Starts Here" campaign.  Many staff members from the energy firm came to be a part of the event and finally succeeded in breaking the world record.
Pierre Alvarez, Vice President Corporate Relations for Nexen said that the company wanted to show the level accomplished if people come together to put in their best effort for a noble cause. Alvarez added that one could succeed and inspire others through such good efforts. The company looked to increase participation and pipe in more funds.
The most number of people dressed as superman counted to 437 and was set by Nexen Staff at Calgary, Alberta, Canada on October 3, 2011.
