When one thinks of the world centers in the art of
chocolate-making the countries that spring to mind are Belgium and Switzerland.
But Armenia? The tiny country sandwiched
between Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran and Georgia has just produced the world's
biggest chocolate bar. The grand choco bar was
manufactured in accordance to
traditional technology of using Ghana
Imported cocoa beans.
Armenian Company Grand Candy unveiled
a 10 inch thick chocolate bar containing all natural ingredients including 70 per cent cocoa mass, weighing in at 9720 pounds. It
measured 18.4 ft by nine ft and set the world record for the Largest
Chocolate bar. The bar was kept displayed at the Grand Candy Factory in the Armenian Capital of
Yerevan.

Chief Karen Vardanian informed
the media that the huge chocolate bar was prepared commemorate the company’s 10th
anniversary.
The biggest Chocolate bar which ahs the finest beans from the cocoa
rich region of Ghana is about 224 inches
in length, 110 inches in width and 10 inches
thick. It would be divided up and handed
out to members of the public shortly.
We request our milk chocolate lovers not to get disappointed as the
company has made the largest chocolate bar reportedly dark. So chocolate fans are invited
to taste the dark chocolate and provide a
new dimension to joy.
The previous world record
was a chocolate bar produced by Elah Dufour-Novi in Alessandria,
Piemonte, Italy in October 2007 that weighted 3,580 kilograms (7,890 pounds).
The world record adjudicator remarked that it was an incredible event.
The chocolate bar
exemplified expertise in the craft of
chocolate making, grandeur and the distinguished quality of the product. The
company wanted to reinstate to the world and the media about its 10 year
presence in the business and display its
product perfection achieved at such a huge scale at the same not
compromising on the taste of the chocolate.
The largest chocolate bar weighed 9720 pounds and measured 18.4 ft by 9 ft was set by grand Candy at Republic square,
Yerevan, Armenia on September 11, 2010.
