Largest Cup of Coffee

A  great news for all coffee lovers in the world. If you   were around that time in Hanoi then you would have got as many cups of coffee  you would have ever had till date. Vietnam's leading coffee producer and exporter Vinacafe Bien Hoa has set the world record for largest cup of coffee with a cup which holds 3,613 liters of coffee, enough for over 30,000 people to drink.
Vinacafe is a Vietnamese company involved in the production, processing and distribution of   coffee  and  instant cereal mix  It is an affiliate of the Vietnam National Coffee Corporation (abbreviated "Vinacafe ) a  Hanoi -based, state-owned corporation under the Ministry of Agriculture and the Food Industry, which deals in the production, processing, export, and import of coffee.
Nguyen Thanh Tung, marketing director of Vinacafe Bien   Hoa  said that other coffee cups merely resembled cups alone but Vinacafe’s coffee cups  are used to make coffee. He added that  to make coffee from 818 kilograms of instant coffee in its giant stainless steel cup, the company had to mobilize over 100 people to simultaneously do the work skillfully.
Vinacafe has broken the old record set by a Panama coffee company by over 204 litres. The world’s biggest cup of coffee began its trans-national trip from Ho Chi Minh City on March 30 and arrived in Hanoi on April 8 to receive the certificate from the GWR representative, Lucia Sinegagliesi, en route to Phu Tho province, the holy land dedicated to Vietnamese ancestors Kings Hung.
The stainless steel structure was constructed by more than 100 people and is 1.53 meters tall, with a diameter of 2.33 meters. It weighed  in at 1,197 kilos, the cup contained 3,613 litres of coffee made with 801 kilos of instant coffee powder and 4,000 litres of boiled water.
The day after the cup went back on the road to its final destination, the Kings Hung Temple on the holy land in the Phu Tho province in occasion of the very special day of the anniversary of King Hung’s death. It was marked by the soul of a country where 50 per cent of the fast developing population is under 30 years of age, as a result of the relatively recent Vietnam War, yet is still attached to the ancient beliefs and symbolic religious meanings of the past.
The Largest cup of coffee contained a capacity to hold 3613 liters of coffee enough for 30000 persons to drink was set by Vinacafe Bien in Hanoi, Vietnam on April 14,2008.
