Largest Pink Margarita

Well, as they say, records are meant to be broken. Ask Hank Aaron about that...or Jimmy Brown. Or Mark Spitz  Or  the people who mixed the previous record-setting pink margarita. But, in the case of the massive margarita, it was for a good cause. Rosangel Tequila, in partnership with the 30th anniversary of Las Vegas Mexican restaurant Ricardo's, celebrated breast cancer awareness by creating the world's largest pink margarita. Ricardo and Tenquila     teamed up   to make a giant margarita  that would make a total of         81355 -12 oz   pink infused margaritas. It weighed a total of 7039 gallons .

To break this record Ricardo's used a 14 ft. tall 10 ft. wide tank, 4,600 liters of ROSANGEL Tequila (1,215 gallons), 5,000 gallons of spring water, 750 quarts of Kelly Y Gonzalez lime juice, 750 gallons of La Paz Sweet and Sour, 1,500 liters of triple sec (396 gallons), and 20 pounds of salt. Scott Schiller, brand manager for ROSANGEL said that there was nothing         more rewarding than         being able to involve one’s profession         with charity. He said that it was great to give back and to see         people enjoying themselves. Ricardo owner Bob Ansara sounded extremely pleased and voiced          that         it took them more than a         year in planning alone and it was indeed         exhilarating to make the event get into history. He added that they were grateful to celebrate 30 years of business         and could not have asked a better way         to celebrate with their community.
Susan G. Komen Southern Nevada is so grateful for the generosity of Bob Ansara.         Eighteen months ago, he had this grand vision and never once lost sight of the tremendous charitable aspect of this event. Komen added that         they were honoured         to have been chosen as the recipient of such         benevolence
The $60,000 marg, made with 7,800 gallons of pink tequila -- for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month -- was later served at the Flamingo Rd. eatery, along with a giant taco-eating contest.

The event was staged to honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month and a portion of the proceeds benefitted Susan G. Komen for the Cure         of Southern Nevada.
The largest pink margarita  weighed 7039 gallons and was set by Ricardo’s Mexican Restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America on October 17, 2010.
