Every child is a blooming
flower. That is for the deeper sense in child psychology. Here we have pupils
dressed themselves as sunflowers to prove the point. 229 pupils and staff at Thorndown Infant and Junior Schools in St Ives
dressed up as sunflowers.
The
previous world record for the most people dressed as sunflowers counted to a
paltry 116 set at the Nursery on the Green in London.
The school business manager
Helen Cooper came up with the idea to go for the world record after verifying
the fact that such an attempt like this one was never registered before in the
world record books. Pupils and staff created
their own sunflower head-dresses and green trousers handmade by parents and
grandparents
The sale of the trousers
helped raise £260 which would go to the
Children’s Liver Disease Foundation.
The most
number of people dressed as sunflowers counted to 229 and was set by the
students of Thorndown Infant and Junior School in St Ives, Cambridgeshire,
United Kingdom on July 21, 2011.
