The title for the
most expensive beer has got shifted
from Scotland to Australia. A new beer from Perth-based
microbrewery Nail
Brewing has now draped into a pricey tag. The
Antarctic Nail Ale beer was lately sold for $800 a bottle at an auction in
Fremantle to benefit the anti-whaling group Sea
Shepherd. Only 30 bottles
of the limited edition beer were brewed at the Nail Brewing headquarters at
Edith Cowan University in Perth. John Stalwood Nail Brewing brewer
said that the special beer has been
brewed with ice received from Sea Shepherds. Stalwood added
that it was indeed great to sell the most
expensive beer for a noble cause. It is also good that a beer about
saving the whales is now most expensive beer in the world rather than high
alcohol beer sold in animal carcasses. He also added that since over 90%
of beer is water, the Antarctic Nail Ale could possibly be the world’s oldest
and purest beer. The previous record for world’s most expensive beer was with
the Scottish brewery BrewDogs, for their $765 high alcohol stuffed animals beer
bottle.
The previous record was set by
Scottish Breweries who had wrapped
their final component into the a dead animal carcass.
British brewery “BrewDog” has produced a new
special-edition line of beers called “The End of History” retailing for $750
each. If the price doesn’t make you fall backwards, then perhaps the 55%
alcohol in each will. It was an audacious blend of eccentricity, artistry
and rebellion. The highlight of the current record was to prohibit cruelty to animals that took animal lovers by storm with the Scottish
Brewers record. The Antarctic Nail Ale
beer sends out the message to save whales and be
kind to animals. The limited edition of
the beer created with Antarctic Ice was
sold on auction benefitting the Sea
Shepherd Conservation Society
The most expensive
beer valued at $800 was set by Antarctic
Nail Ale made by the Nail Brewing Company at Perth, Australia on November 9, 2010.
It is really surprise me that Antarctic Nail Ale beer was sold for $800 a bottle at an auction in Fremantle. This is really awesome news for me.
