Largest String Ensemble under one Roof

An ensemble is actually a gathering of people for taking aprt in some activity. And much to say for a string ensemble which means a group of persons  palying the violin, cellist or may be even a guitar to forn one long musical sequence.
But the one we are talking about is a lot bigger. Almost  four hundred string musicians from around the region gathered at the Juanita High School Field House in Kirkland to be a part of the Largest String Ensemble under one roof.
The event was video taped and was scrutinised by 20 official observers to ensure that all the participants actually played the instruments.
The highlight of the event was that it had musicians ranging from 5 years to 65 years  such a unique combination of the young and the old to come together on the same platform playing music.

Most of the members of the world-record string ensemble were public school orchestra students  who performed not only because they were excited but also of being a part of such a grand world record venture. The feat also illustrated the fact about the importance of school orchestra programmes on the child's development.Further this exposes the fact that music has new boundless dimensions  and everyone must play from Mozart  to Celtic Fiddle tunes  with utmost passion and excellence.
The ensemble made news on April 15,2010
