What better way to look back at life at the age of 100 years to see your work rendering happy smiles on everyone's face.The mere thought of getting recognised for your professional work and service at such a ripe age is indeed an achievement.
The same feeling would also be echoed by Dr Walter Watson.Dr Watson popularly known as "Papa Doc" to many has delivered more than 18,000 babies in his 100 years of life.That was really awesome of the man who is indeed a living example of hard work and committment.It is believed that he still comes to his clinic regularly to see his patients and even entertains new ones too.Although he has stopped conducting surgeries and delivering babies since 1996 but makes it a point to see atleast 5 patients in his clinic.
The dctor started his career doing his residency at the Universal Hospital after getting enrolled in a medical college in georgia in 1939.he had spent 7 years of his life doing hard labour to make sufficient money to finance his medical studies.
The day March 1,2010 was a big day for the Watson couple.Dr Walter Watson along with his wife Audrey had a grand felicitation at University Hospital in Augusta for being the oldest Practising and the most valued Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.His name is brandished at the entrance of the Hospital's Women's Center.His colleagues acknowledge for his old school approach towards health care.
The entire city of Augusta were so much in reverence for the physician that they were ready to call the day in the name of the illustrious doctor.
That has been the successful journey of Dr Watson till date at Augusta,Georgia,United States of America on March 1,2010
