"Give me the power to see the world from a wider angle,Help me to know the art of thinking in the right direction" is what every child born in to this world would love telling their parents.Parents should be more than mere facilitators to the child to get educated.Even the children from economically backward families would externally snubb their feeling and interest to go to school like other normal kids.Children are the most innocent and lovely creations of GOD and why should any child irrespective of the economic background he or she is coming bear the brunt of societal woes for having done no fault.
That should be the kind of strong intention burning in every parent's mind.if that was not enough 2,000 children and 150 volunteers present at the JOOnior Smile event had every reason to cheer for having supported this noble cause by making a world record.
The event was organised by the Romanian Foundation for Children ,Community and Family(FRCCF) and Cluj Napoca City Hall brought together 2000 children and 150 volunteers to create a 7,000 square feet chalk pavement art.The drawing looked like a train with 62 cars bore the concept 'Child Smile'.The event was celebrated as apart of the International Children's Day which saw so many kids coming together on the newest beltway of the town. The children had to do the 'Longest child smile train which saw them utilising 10,000 boxes of coloured chalks and drank 1,500 litres of water.
JOOnior Smile was a fund raising event organised by FRCCF to support the kids coming from low income families not to drop out of school.Children are compelled to drop out of schools and go for work as their families are unable to pay for their education. They becoem the victims of circumstances and resort to all forms of labour to earn their bread.Their natural quest and interest to learn fades out aftera point of time when they actually start earning wages to support themselves and contribute to the family income.
The event saw the support of many big corporate houses also nursing this idea of every child's right to get educated and go to school. The students of Romua Ladea Arts High School were also a part of the drawing for the largest chalk pavement art at Cluj Napoca,Romania on January 19,2009.
