All of the United Kingdom sing Carols

A Christmas Carols are songs   whose lyrics are on the theme of Christmas and the winter season. They are usually sung around the time of Christmas. The songs we know specifically as carols were originally communal songs sung during celebrations like harvest tide as well as Christmas. It was only later that carols begun to be sung in church, and to be specifically associated with Christmas. Traditionally, carols have often been based on , medieval  chord patterns, and it is this that gives them their uniquely characteristic musical sound. In the United Kingdom  the mass singing in some of the pubs in North Sheffield  and North Derbyshire  , which takes place in the second half of November and all December, and which is often referred to as 'The Sheffield Carols', has been described as one of the most remarkable instances of popular traditional singing in the British Isles.
And    thousands of people came together to   sing a programme of   complete   festive favourite. Premier   Christian   Radio   organized a unified carol singing event   which had 17,117   persons   proved to set a new world record for the largest   group of Carol singers.
The current record smashed the previous record for the largest   group of Carol  singers  across multiple venues  set by Disney which had  a mere 15000 singers .
The event was sponsored by Biblelands and were conducted in venues  such as Scotland, Wales and even Geneva. They sang the Carol Classics Silent Night, O Come All Ye Faithful, O Little Town of Bethlehem, Hark The Herald Angels Sing, and Away in a Manger. Peter Kerridge  Chief of Premier Christian radio  felt the whole experience was inspiring  to see the entire United Kingdom come together  for a record breaking attempt. The entire  occasion was filled with fun and increased the  festive spirit of Christmas. The record attempt is part of the 'Christmas Starts with Christ' campaign, which exists to engage people with the true meaning of Christmas. It includes church poster, national newspaper and radio advertising.
The Largest group of Carol Singers  counted to 17,117 persons and was organized by Premier Christian radio at London, United Kingdom on December 22,2011.
